Abridged Project Statement

My “big picture” of this project is to design a series of Disney film posters for classic movies, focusing on a cohesive visual style that captures the essence of each film.  The posters will use “emotion bubbles” to conceptualize the main characters’ attitudes and emphasizations throughout the story, using colors, shapes, typography, and imagery.  The posters will also influence the genre, tone, and theme of each film, as well as the Disney brand identity.  The project will explore how graphic design can communicate emotions and narratives simply and effectively, as well as how to create a consistent and appealing visual language across different films.
